furniture shopping at ikea at tampines. ooh its huge. loads of stuff, amos jumping round, swedish meatballs. yes, i did have a fun afternoon. oh and we saw one of mum's friends, who talked (read: bragged) non-stop. your daughter is smart, be proud. you don't have to tell the whole world about it. she asked amos how much he got. and he told her. and she exclaimed "xxx on the dot ah?" grr.

concert thing was fun though. we got free tickets, so some dude asked us to go early. in the end although we didn't have to pay for it we still had to queue. ugh. and then we had to wait so long for the thing to start due to technical difficulties. plus most of the performers were unknown. to us. to make things worse, the spare batts i brought for sam's cam decided to die on us. and everywhere we went was closed. so we couldn't buy more too. ):

how is that fun? well its not. haha.

it was only the second half of the concert that was fun. from half of ronin onwards it was good. the lead singer of ronin is a bad influence on kids though, and there were kids present. he called his lead guitarist a bastard and in turn was called a son of a bitch, and at the end of his set promised the audience the band will rock the f*** out of everything tomorrow at lime sonic bang. if that's not terrible enough there was a kid in the audience who repeated "you son of a bitch!!"

after all that was paul twohill, norman then and gayle nerva. that was good. both norman and paul were so cute! and a little retarded, while gayle was just sweet and pretty. so sam and i saw a couple of kids and girls go to paul and norman for autographs, so we decided to too. we were lazy to wak up to our seats, so we just sat down next to them. paul twohill was trying to talk but saw loser up on stage were too loud.

we ended up shouting at each other.
twohill: i like them!
ilena: i've never seen them!
twohill: do you think i look like them?
ilena: yea, a little.
twohill: what??
ilena: a little bit!
twohill: oh! but i don't think so! they're too punk!
ilena: but the entire singapore thinks you're punk!
(music gets louder at this point)
twohill: (signing and mouthing) i'm not punk!!

and then sam and i (fine, me only) was so dumb, decided to take the side door out, interupted performers' discussions, and almost got lost. /: ohwells, we went home smiling anyway despite the kind of horrible beginning. (:
